At Coinpanda, we update and improve the accuracy of API integrations daily. Typically, 2-5 API integrations are updated each day.
These updates can be minor or not noticeable to most users. Still, we sometimes make major changes that may not be compatible with an earlier version of the integration.
Reasons for making such updates include:
A new API version released by the exchange or service
Changes in the API made by the exchange or service
Added support for new transaction types
Improved accuracy in identifying currencies
Improved accuracy for fee handling
Fixing bugs related to importing transactions accurately
While we try our best to avoid making breaking changes, this is sometimes unavoidable and will require a wallet resync to ensure maximum accuracy and avoid duplicate transactions. In almost all cases, reimporting transactions in your wallet when required will result in much higher accuracy, which means you will spend less time reviewing the transactions imported and making fewer (or zero!) manual corrections.
